Mr.Jim Wants A New House

Mr. Jim lives in a Gingerbread house which he loves the most. Just before Christmas, something woke Mr. Jim up from his deep deep sleep. OH NO! It's the house falling apart! ''This is so wrong!'' Mr. Jim thought, and so he went out into the darkness and wants to find a new house, a house that's even better. He met three friends but none of their home is an ideal place. Mr. Jim searched all night, and finally when the sun rises, when he almost gives up, a sweet smell leads him to a bakery, there he finds the best gingerbread house, a house that's even better just came out from oven! Thanks to the house, Mr. Jim had the best Christmas ever.

Author and illustrator

Yue Pan is an illustrator who was born and raised in Shanghai, China and currently lives and creates in London. She graduated from the University of the Arts London and currently pursuing her master degree in Goldsmiths. Her works have won the 2024 iJungle Illustration Awards and the 2024 UAL x TATE Christmas Card Competition.

She creates a wide range of themes and especially likes to explore the link between human and nature. Her works are also full of emotions and have a sense of humour.

Apart from the pigments and brushes, she also uses many different techniques and materials for her works such as etching, riso, and ceramics.
