Mr. Tomato imagines the worst possible outcome, even for the most trivial actions. However, before any of his worst-case scenarios can unfold, he is gradually lifted by the warmth and kindness of his neighbors. And he returns home—only to be completely filled with happiness through an unexpected encounter.
Author and illustrator
Lani Kim majored in painting in Korea and later earned a master's degree in children's book illustration in Goldsmiths, University of London. She is drawn to the odd little moments in everyday life and the sparks of imagination they inspire. She aspires to craft stories that blur the line between reality and fantasy, and to connect with readers through the unique voices of her characters.
